Edit or add a fact

Change a fact on an entry, or add a new one; canon facts keep their old wording in history.

  1. Open the entry. On a character, click the Facts tab; other entries list their facts on the page (on a place, click Facts in the page’s contents).
  2. To change a fact, click the pencil on its row. For a draft, change it and click Save; for a canon fact, type the New fact and click Update canon.
  3. To add one, click Add fact, choose the Section, fill in Label and Fact, then click Add as draft. Places and houses don’t have Add fact.
  4. To seal a draft fact, click the … on its row, choose Seal as canon…, then confirm with Seal as canon.

Good to know

  • Updating a canon fact keeps the old one as retconned, with its citations.
  • The … menu also has Move to review and Retire….
  • To change the name, kind line or epithet of a character, place, house or other entry, click Edit at the top of its page.
