These terms are between you and MD Solutions, the trading name of Matthew Day (“we”, “us”), 220 Green Lanes, London N13 5UD, the maker of Saga Studio (“the studio”). By creating an account you agree to them, together with our privacy notice and refund policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the studio. You can contact us through support@sagastudio.ink.
You must be 18 or over. You sign in with a link sent to your email address; there is no password. Keep your email account secure, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. An account is for one person: do not share it or sell it.
If you use the studio for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for that business. Where these terms treat consumers and business customers differently, they say so.
You own everything you write and everything you seal as canon. We claim no rights in your manuscript, your bible, your names or your worlds. You give us only the permission we need to store your work, back it up, show it back to you, and run the features you ask for (such as sending a chapter to an AI model when you press a button that says so). That permission ends when your work is deleted, apart from backups, which age out as our privacy notice says.
You confirm that you have the right to the material you put in the studio, and that it does not break anyone else’s rights or the law.
AI features read your manuscript and suggest facts, conflicts and pictures. They never change your canon: every suggestion waits for your approval. AI output can be wrong, incomplete or similar to other people’s work, and we cannot promise otherwise. You decide what to approve, keep and publish, and you are responsible for what you do.
Pictures generated for you are yours to use as far as the law allows. AI-generated images may not qualify for copyright in some countries, and we make no promise that they do. Our providers may refuse to make some pictures; our refund policy says when credits come back.
The Free plan covers one book. Paid plans and top-ups are described on the pricing page; prices are in pounds; VAT is not charged. Subscriptions renew monthly, charging the card you paid with, until you cancel from Settings › Billing; cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
Writer and Studio come with monthly credits, which reset on renewal and do not roll over. The Author plan has no monthly credits. Top-up credits, on any plan, do not expire while your account is open. Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, sold or exchanged for money, and end when your account is closed or deleted; they are not refunded when you close or delete your account yourself.
Upgrading charges the new plan’s full price at once, starts a new month that day and adds any credits it comes with to what is left; nothing from the current month is credited back. Downgrading is free, refunds nothing and takes its price from the next renewal; you keep that month’s credits until then.
Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. Before you pay, you confirm that you want your plan and any credits straight away. A top-up is not refunded once bought: you give up the 14-day right to cancel it. If you cancel your first plan within 14 days of paying, we refund it: an Author plan in full, and a Writer or Studio plan minus the credits you have used. Our refund policy has the details, and says how faults are put right.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe tries again for a short time; if it keeps failing, your plan moves to Free. Your work and your top-up credits stay, and you can still read and export everything. We may change prices or plans with at least 30 days’ notice by email; a change applies from your next renewal after the notice, you can cancel before it applies, and it never takes credits you have already paid for.
You must not use the studio to:
We may pause AI features or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or someone’s safety stops us.
The studio’s software, design, wording, artwork and sample series belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to use the studio. Features may change as the studio grows; we will not remove the ability to export your work.
We aim to keep the studio available but cannot promise it will always be, for example during maintenance or a provider’s outage. You can export your bible and manuscript at any time, and we recommend keeping your own copies. We keep backups of the service database for recovery, not as a substitute for your own.
If we ever close the studio, we will give at least 60 days’ notice by email so you can export your work.
You can stop using the studio at any time; cancel any plan from Settings › Billing first. You can delete your account from Settings, or ask us to; your data is removed within 30 days, except what we must keep for tax or legal reasons (such as payment records). Unused credits are lost when you delete your account and are not refunded.
We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will warn you first and give you time to export your work. If we close your account by mistake, we will restore it, or refund your unused top-up credits if we cannot.
If you are a consumer: we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable or for business losses. If we lose your work through our fault, we will restore it from our backups where we can; what we owe you may be less where keeping your own export would have avoided the loss. If digital content we supply damages a device or other digital content of yours because we did not use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay compensation.
If you are a business customer: we are not liable for lost profits, revenue, business or data, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to what you paid us in those 12 months.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not allow to be limited, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as an outage at a provider we rely on. We will tell you and do what we reasonably can to limit the effect.
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, and we will email you about material changes before they take effect. If you do not accept a change, you can close your account.
If you have a complaint, write to us through support@sagastudio.ink and we will reply within 14 days. If we cannot settle it between us, you can take it to court as below; we do not currently use an alternative dispute resolution provider. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or in Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. We may transfer our rights under these terms to another business that takes over the studio, and will tell you if we do; your rights are not affected. No one else has rights under these terms.
